Delicious
crab dip is easy to make and great for parties. Recipes vary widely,
but typically include crab, cheese and seasonings. A quick and easy
cold dip can be made with cream cheese, cocktail sauce and crab. For
a hot dip in minutes, try blending crab meat with sour cream, onions
and dill.
If you have a few minutes, and an oven, try this crab dip recipe:
• 8 ounces soft cream cheese
• ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 12 oz. crabmeat
• ½ teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons horseradish
• Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all the ingredients and spread in a one-quart baking dish.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees, and that’s it. Crab dip
can be served with crackers, bread or even veggies. For a more impressive
display, hollow out a loaf of sourdough bread and spoon the dip inside
to serve.
