Fresh
seafood cuisine offers a broad spectrum of choices to satisfy nearly
every taste. The diversity of edible sea creatures and endless preparation
potential allow for an infinite number of seafood possibilities. Diners
who typically don’t enjoy fish can turn to any number of water
dwelling animals to please their palates. Shrimps, crabs, lobsters
and countless other shellfish are popular menu items worldwide.
Seafood can be found virtually anywhere, but fresh seafood cuisine
may be another story. For those who don’t live on or near the
coast, the best bet may be to grab a rod and reel and head to the
nearest lake or stream. If you’re not the fishing type, check
area markets and restaurants for locally farmed or caught organisms.
It’s also a good idea to ask how fresh their other seafood is.
Ask how often they receive shipments of fresh seafood cuisine and
where it comes from. Look into fish that has not been frozen. For
the most part, unless the establishment is very near water, never-frozen
seafood is unfeasible. In fact, freezing fish immediately after it
is caught is an excellent way to ensure freshness.
