Grilled
salmon can be made perfectly at home with your backyard grill. There
are several ways to grill it, but one of the easiest, foolproof methods
involves cooking salmon in aluminum foil on your barbeque.
First, take your salmon fillet and clean it. Tear a long piece of aluminum
foil—you will need enough to wrap around your fish, crimp and
fold securely. Put the shiny side of the foil down, spray it with cooking
spray and place the salmon (skin side down) on your foil. Add herbs
of your choice such as thyme, garlic, rosemary, basil and/or dill. Season
it with salt and pepper. Squeeze the juice from a fresh lemon or lime
onto the fish. You may want to put a pat of butter on top and then some
lemon slices. Fold and crimp your foil tightly.
Place the packet on the grill and grill for ten minutes per inch of
the thickness of your salmon fillet. You do not need to turn the fish,
but be sure not to overcook it. Following this simple recipe for grilled
salmon will ensure the compliments of all who taste your delectable
salmon, grilled to perfection.
